Our last day open for the 2025 season. Although our plants were healthy, we didn’t have the production that we normally have. Thank you ALL for a spectacular season!
Saying we got rain is an understatement, this is the aftermath. Sometimes we have to close due to mother nature and wait to reopen until it dries up!
You never know what you’ll find out in our field! Looks like we have a new friend this year. So keep your eyes open while here, you never know what you can find!
August 07, 2025We still have a lot of blueberry bushes for sale each year! 2 year old and 3 year old plants; Blue Ray, Nelson, Elliot, Duke, Blue Crop, and Patriot plants available this year!
We had a visitor in the raspberry patch last night!!!! Can anyone guess what animal this hair belongs to? It was a BEAR! Thankfully it didn’t destroy our raspberry patch!
These blueberries are feeling the HEAT!!! Something that has helped our family through this heat has been frozen blueberries as ice cubes in our drinks. They definitely quench our thirst!
July 29, 2025The blossoms are opening and the bees are working with us. Blueberries are getting closer to harvest! Without these little guys, there would be no blueberries to enjoy.
While we are preparing to open our field, we came across this tall blueberry bush. For reference, Derek pictured is 6’4” and this bush is taller than he is! Plants are looking great this year.

July 18, 2024Using the loader on the tractor to scoop mulch and drop it into 3 wheelbarrows. Walking the wheelbarrows down the rows and carefully spread the mulch between the bushes.
This is not what we were expecting on opening day… hail is not nice to blueberries! Depending on the hail damage, we may need to close for a few days.
Thank you so much for an incredible season! It was so nice to see familiar faces and a lot of new ones out in the field! We're looking forward to next summer.
September 05, 2023Picture from this weekend of the buds on the blueberry bushes! Thankfully they are nice and tight so the bushes were not effected by this CRAZY Michigan weather.
We have SO MANY blueberries and only 2 weeks left in our season!! Picking is great but you should never wait until the last few weeks to pick, if you do it sooner.
It's incredible out here! The bushes are full of fall colors. The cool nights allow for this beautiful transformation to take place. This makes the field a sight to see.
October 09, 2022Last week, when it was really cold, we unfortunately lost at least 1/4 of our blueberry crop. In the pictures you can see the damaged berries that look shriveled and brown.
What a great year for our raspberries, we have had a issues in the early part of the season with the frost damage but fortunately the raspberries came on strong.
What a beautiful sunrise this morning in the field! Snow covered blueberry bushes with a picture perfect sunrise for a backdrop. Nothing like a northern Michigan morning.
WOW today the parking lot was officially full. We had to put out a friendly reminder "please bring your own buckets" because ours are all being used (over 100 buckets)!!!
The fan favorite... NELSONS!!! They are producing a lot of blueberries and they are delicious. We anticipate our season being over within two weeks, what a great year!
Our Now that we are closed for the season and the temps are falling. Winter is right around the corner glad Our fields are ready for winter . Nothing like a crisp, fall day.

The berries are looking extremely delicious this year! Can’t wait until they turn blue in about ONE MONTH!!!!

September 15, 2019We’re at the Cadillac Farmer’s Market today and we have raspberries!!! We are having a great year.
The rasberries are looking mighty great this year. We will open picking this Saturday July 27th.
July 22, 2019Our first day of U-Pick will be this Saturday, July 27th, from 9am-7pm! Berries are looking real good.
Look at all the little green berries and raspberries!!! We are going to a HUGE crop this year!
The field is buzzing like crazy! The bees are definitely working hard this spring so we can have delicious berries!
June 12, 2019Would you look at that! The blossoms are coming out and we are exciting to get another blueberry season underway! Just a few more weeks and we will be seeing the little green berries!
We picked up the blueberry plants today! We already called and messaged those that have pre-ordered plants but there are plenty of plants to go around!
Fun fact: Each of those little buds will eventually turn into approximately 10 blueberries! There will be a lot of berries!

The bees are a very important part of the fields success, without them no berries!
To help the plants during the summer we put mulch around the base of the plants.
Come visit us at the local Cadillac Farmers Market during the picking season.
In 1 1/2 hours we were able to pick 10 full buckets for the Cadillac Farmers Market.
We are mulching the entire field this summer!!! It's hard work but it looks and smells incredible afterwards; plus blueberries love mulch!
